Application and Registration
Please fill out the Application Form (see below) and submit it (see “Deadlines and Fees” for details). Space is limited. Early applications are encouraged. Applications will be accepted after the deadline only if student vacancies remain. In addition to filling out the application, students should include a video/audio recording (in youtube or MP3 & MP4 formats) of 15 minutes maximum , 2 passport-size photos (submitted also electronically), a non-refundable registration fee (80 Euros) and a 600 Euro non-refundable (refundable ONLY in case of non-acceptance) deposit to secure the place in the Festival. Your recording should be of best possible quality and include two contrasting works (or sections) suitable for performance in concert (please see Application Form for more information). Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. After the receipt of your materials you will be notified of your status by email. To guarantee your acceptance, the tuition payment must be posted by deadline.
Please explore your local community, including arts, religious or civic organizations, schools and private donors for the sources of financial aid. Private donors are entitled to receive a tax deduction receipt from the festival since we are a non-profit organization.

I release Vianden International Music Festival and its agents and employees, the
Comune of Vianden, its agents and employees, from any and all claims,
demands, and causes of action on account of any injury, illness, or loss which
may occur during my participation in the festival. I understand that the
information in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge
and that the audition tape submitted with the application is my own unedited
performance. I also understand that the Vianden International Music Festival has
the right to dismiss students who have provided misleading information in the
application. All participants are required to stay for the full two weeks of the
festival.

Audition Video Tape:
A video recording ( youtube format only) for all singers must accompany this application.
An audio recording ( youtube format only or compressed MP3 or MP4 files under 1 MB ) or video recording (youtube format only) for all instrumentalists must accompany this application.
It should contain two contrasting works (or sections of works) not exceeding 15 minutes. Recent live recordings are preferred.
Pianists are requested to send in two recordings – one of which should be a recording of chamber music if possible.
Label the recording with your name and instrument. Include a program of your recording.
Listen to your recording before you send it to us for quality of sound. A
recording of poor quality makes it impossible to judge your performance fairly.
We regret that the video recordings may not be returned to you.

by bank transfer only are due along with the application and are non-refundable
after March 10, 2012 (600 euro deposit is refundable in case of
non-acceptance of the applicant):

____EUR 1150 Auditor’s Fee per person is payable at the time of tuition payment
if a student is accompanied by another person (includes attendance as an observer at coaching sessions, room and board - double occupancy).
Any visitor wishing to observe the Festival´s activities is a subject to "Auditor´s Fee".
All fees must be in EUROS per BANK TRANSFER ONLY
Please add all the applicable bank surcharges to the amount you owe us!!!
Luxembourg Bank transfer charge is 4,34 euro on up to 2400,- euro amount,
7,40 euro on the amounts between 2400,- and 6000,- euro.
The American bank charges should be added to this.
